ABOUT WARRIOR-SCHOLAR PROJECT

Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) runs intensive, immersive, one and two week college-preparatory academic boot camps hosted at America’s top universities for current and former service members pursuing higher education.  These boot camps are offered at no cost to the student-veteran participant. During the duration of the boot camp, WSP participants are guided by not only highly successful student-veterans who have already successfully transitioned from the military to college, but also by dedicated senior university faculty. Students on the Warrior-Scholar Project are introduced to the analytical reading, writing, and other academic and tactical skills crucial to success in higher education.  Students also learn about the many challenges that are experienced by student-veterans during their transition from military service to college.

ABOUT CAMPUS PROGRAM COORDINATORS

Campus Program Coordinators are responsible for working with university partners and WSP central staff to coordinate all on-campus logistics for WSP summer courses. Each Campus Program Coordinator is responsible for one campus location and must be based at that college or university. Each campus will run one course during the summer, which will be one or two weeks long.

ABOUT MOBILE TRAINING TEAM (MTT) FELLOWS

Every boot camp needs drill instructors, and WSP’s many college-preparatory academic boot camps are no different.  Each Warrior-Scholar MTT consists of two-four “WSP Fellows”—student veterans hired by WSP for the duration of the summer to help execute our one or two week programs.  A WSP Fellow is an enlisted military student-veteran who is an alumni of the WSP program and who has made a highly successful transition from military service to college and is excelling at their chosen school.  Fellows are primarily responsible for teaching college level “tactical” level skills, modeling student-led study group sessions in the evenings, mentoring program participants, an coordinating with campus Program Coordinators, campus faculty, WSP central staff and campus administrative staff as needed in order to ensure that WSP programs are run according to established standards and expectations.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM MANAGER

The Program Manager is responsible for supervising the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of all program logistical requirements at each of WSP’s campuses nationwide.  This work will be done in close coordination with the Campus Program Coordinators and in accordance with established WSP planning and execution timelines and procedures.
